We’ll only send you emails if you sign up for them. We may send you a few initial emails welcoming you to the website or personal emails from our leadership to see if you’re interested in participating in activities of the organization and asking how you would like to help, but such correspondence is personal and not automated. We’ll never give or sell your email address to another company without your explicit permission. We hate spam as much as you do. We do initial auto-subscription you to our newsletters. Once you unsubscribe to our newsletters, you will not be bothered again by our automated emails.
We do provide the explicit option to share your information with our Affiliates during the sign up process. You may choose to opt-out of such sharing of information at a later time by contacting us.
If you decide to publicly post your personal information in our community sections, we can’t be responsible for what happens to that information. Post wisely.
We track the hits to the site in a non-identifying way. That is to say, we do not know who from Nantucket hit our site, but if you’re the only person from Nantucket to hit our site, we could conceivably figure it out. We do use the statistics in a non-identifying way to analyze traffic patterns, target audiences, keyword analysis, and other web guru related things to ensure we are focusing in the right area for our constituency.
We currently do not advertise and as such have no interest in sending any personal information to any third part vendor.
We are not an attorney, and communications here are not protected by the attorney/client provisions of law. Use of such communications in court is unethical, but likewise, publicly posted information is just that, public.

The types of information we collect: We have several areas where you can submit information to us, and we also have features that automatically collect information from the users and visitors to our Site.
Information voluntarily provided by you
Registration: For visitors who wish to participate in the organization, you must register with us to use our forums or other areas of the site where you may post. We may also offer options for you to sign up for our newsletters if you are a member of our site. During registration to the site, you must provide your email address, year of birth, gender and zip code and you must supply a password to us. It is your responsibility to keep your password strictly confidential.
Forum Participation: We strongly encourage participation in our site’s forum as the building of information through our member participation will create the online resource necessary to achieve the organizations goals. We may use the information posted in our forums for guiding the legislative efforts of our organization, in other words, we listen to our members and address the situations affecting them most. We may, with your permission request your assistance in such efforts if you are willing to help. Keep in mind that Illinois Father’s forums are publicly readable, as such they are scanned by search engines and are generally public knowledge on the Internet. If you have specific pending litigation you are party of you may wish to refrain from posting until such time that you deem it safe to do so.
Communications from Illinois Fathers and our newsletters: In order to keep our registered users and subscribers informed about the latest developments and news, we may send messages to your personal email address that you provided to us while registering for the Illinois Fathers Services. If you elected to opt in to our email list, we may also send newsletters to you. You are always free to change your email preferences by following the instructions provided in the “Edit Your Account Info” section of the Site. In the event we send you a promotional e-mail, each such email will include instructions detailing how you may unsubscribe from our mailing list. We may from time to time send personal emails to you from our organizational leadership. As long as you remain a member on our site, we may contact you. You may opt out by removing your membership from the website.
Contacting Us: You are always free to contact us with a question or problem related to your use of the site.
Third-party information provided to us
Partners/Affiliates: We may receive information about you from third parties. For example, we currently have affiliate relationships with other Web sites, through which we may receive registration information for use by NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality. This is a voluntary Opt-In process. No information will be shared with us that you have not approved. We may at times contact third party organizations for assistance with requests you make with us. This will only be at your request. An example of such communication would be a request for assistance with an interstate issue (such as a parental move away to Iowa). We may contact our friends at Iowa fathers for assistance with the portions relevant to them. But again, we won’t do this until you request it.
Communication Technologies: We may utilize third party communication technologies during the course of our business, to include conference call technologies that may have very different privacy policies, likewise, they may report to us information about you regarding the manner in which you connected to their services, time you spent using their technologies and possibly other information. You are advised to review their respective Privacy Policies for information pertaining to them.
Links: When using our NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality Services, you may click through certain links that will enable you to visit other sites that may or may not be affiliated with our site. These links may create tracking information through “Referrer” tags and other related web technologies. NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality does not control the privacy options of these other organizations and their use of such information is outside of the control of NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality. Likewise, we may collect statistics on exit points from our web services to better structure our website to be more efficient for our users.Though we must admit, a couple million hits off the Governor’s homepage from our site would certainly look nice for us!
Automatic Data Collection
Other types of information collected: In order to better improve the NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality Services, we capture other data such as a registered user’s or subscriber’s search criteria and results, date, time, connection speed, type of browser, browser capabilities, monitor resolution and the IP address of each visitor to Illinois Fathers. We keep this information for our internal security audit log, aggregate trend analysis, and system administration.
When and with whom we may share your information with
Legally affiliated entities: In the event that NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality is merged with another entity, or in the event of a transfer of our assets, Site or operations, we may disclose or transfer your personal information in connection with such transaction. In the event of such a transfer, we will notify you via email or by posting a prominent notice via the website for 30 days of any such change in ownership of NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality resulting in a change of control of your personal information.

Voluntary provided information from Third Parties: This paragraph is specifically added to ensure clarification on projects NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality implements such as the “Extorted Parent””Exploited Child” project and other similar programs that involve posting personal information in a public capacity without approval of the specific person who’s information is posted. The Extorted Parent Exploited Child project has information posted only after NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality confirms that there is a legitimate order of visitation in place. This information is provided by our members on a voluntary basis and to the general public as a Public Good. Posting of people to this list is strictly at the request of our members. This is a protected form of Free Speech and does not constitute harassment, stalking, libel, slander or any other negative outcome. If you are receiving harassment or other similar negative outcomes as a result from such services, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will work with law enforcement as appropriate. Information added to these services are the same as the information permitted by Statutory Law to be posted on the Department of Human Service’s Extorted Parent Exploited Child list.
NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality endeavors to protect the security of your personal information and your choices for its intended use. We use third party secure SSL technology to protect the transmission of sensitive personal information such as your credit card number. We do not store your personal financial information on a server under our control, and we use procedures designed to protect the personal information we do collect from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration or destruction.
Although we will take commercially reasonable security precautions regarding your personal information collected from and stored by the NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality Services, due to the open nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that any of your personal information stored on our servers, or transmitted to or from a user, will be free from unauthorized access, and we disclaim any liability for any theft or loss of, unauthorized access or damage to, or interception of any data or communications. By using the NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality Services, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.
Third party hosting: NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality utilizes third party subcontracting to host our website and Internet services through a third party distributor. We utilize a virtual server and maintain “root” control of the virtual server, but as such computing services are co-located with another provider and are shared on a server with many other customers, we can not guarantee 100% security of these services. We do put forth due diligence in securing the services and operating systems to prevent and protect against common Internet attacks, but our site may still be vulnerable to the hosting providers security posture, of which would be outside of our control.
Email: is not recognized as a secure medium of communication. For this reason, we request that you do not send any personal information to us by email. However, doing so is allowed, but at your own risk. We follow commercially reasonable security precautions to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during the transmission and once we receive it.
SPAM Filtering: NJ 4 Kids/NJ 4 Parental Equality utilizes a variety of technologies to combat the spread of unwanted commercial email and other similar messages. We use Captcha’s on our site to cut down on automated postings of unwanted commercial messages, and we utilize an extensive collection of testing technologies used to determine the legitimacy. If you are impacted negatively by these technologies, contact us.
Modification of your choices and preferences
You may modify your registration information at any time by accessing the preferences area of our Site.
Opt-out right: If you have elected to receive newsletters or promotional or marketing correspondence from us previously and later decide that you no longer wish to receive such correspondence from us in the future, you may opt-out from further receipt by clicking on the Unsubscribe button related to such list or by contacting us in a manner as described in this notice and we may remove you.
